SATURDAY...

Chris is picking up Draven this morning and running errands. They are both due a hair cut, plus have to pick up laundry and go to the back. They are coming by here to pick me up so that I can run my errands too. I started working on the house this morning and ran out of steam by noon. Chris' mother told me that she was full of energy at the end of her pregnancy. I felt kinda like a slacker. I don't want to do anything besides sleep and eat. The eating thing is easy, but the sleep part is getting harder. My left hip ached all night. I think my body is tired of sleeping on it's left side. I finally rotated. I am worn out today and it is only 1:30.
So on to my Saturday plans. I am going to go get some baby and mom necessities for the hospital. I made my list and laid out a few things to pack. Time is slipping away. Here's what I have on my list so far.

SO TIRED, OH AND WED. NIGHT BELLY PIC...

I am not sleeping worth a flip. I come to work so exhausted! I look like crap and feel like it too. Just want to go back to bed. It was too cold to take the belly pic in the baby's room last night. I took it by the fire in our room instead. Getting our central h/a fixed has got to be done soon. Maybe, Chris and I can take a day off together to get some stuff done. I am thinking we can take the Friday after we get the furniture. That way we can get some little stuff done throughout the week, but then save Friday for appts with cleaners and heat and air guy. Just an idea.

doc appt.

Nothing too exciting. I always think that the doctor is going to give me big news. Instead it is the same routine every time. Here's what I learned this appt:
2nd babies are not early, that is a wives tail.
Her heart rate was 142, higher than last time.
The pulsating I felt around Christmas was her head on an artery.
She is going to be about 7 pounds when she is born (doc's guess.)
I gained 3 pounds over Christmas, putting me at 21 pounds total.
I am no longer anemic.
Baby is still head down and in position for birth, doc. doesn't think she will change positions.
The lack of hard kicking is nothing to worry about.
I have an appt. on the 16th of Jan., then I have an appt. every week till she arrives.
That's it for now.

TUESDAY NIGHT BELLY PIC...

Let me just say, "Best New Years Day Ever!"
Draven went to my dad's. CHris and I laid around in our pj's and watched tv.
Just doesn't get much better.
Today I have an appt. at 1:30. I will update this afternoon.

34 weeks, almost.

Actually, I start my 34th week Thursday. My appts are always on Wednesdays so that is when I pretend my week starts. I spoke with my parents today and we were discussing delivery dates. Now it is closing enough that we can talk about it. My mother says January 27th because it will be hard for her to remember the date. My father says February 14th. I have an early guess and a later guess. First, January 20th, I picked it randomly. The second is Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3rd, just to annoy the boys. Chris pick is Feb. 4th, our nieces birthday. She has specifically asked that our girl not be born on her birthday. We will see.

It is fair to assume that she SHOULD be here within a month. I just hope she is healthy. Draven's birth was so easy, I hope I am lucky again. I feel like I have done everything right. Eating like I should, exercising (less now) no smoking, no drinking. My body needed a break from all of the harsh chemicals I was putting in it. I have a doc appt. tomorrow and think it should be fast and easy. I think I will have one more 2 week appt, then I switch to weekly checkups. I am going to ask the Doc about her pushing on my artery, her size and position. That should do it. Oh, and we still have no name. I think that it will just be a surprise. I think the name "Marla Courtney" was brought up at dinner last night....

Ok, that was a joke. It is really "Christina Michelle Henry."

Man, I am just full of them.

Lolita Charlene?

Jennifer Nicole?

Gwendolyn Mildred?

Ok, seriously. No name yet. We will just have to meet her.

New Years 2008

DRAVEN IS READY FOR HIS NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN!

I FORGOT HOW LOUD AND SMOKEY CONCERTS ARE!

DRAVEN WAS SO QUIET, TAKING IT ALL IN I GUESS.

WE ALL GOT OUR HANDS ON THE BALLOONS A FEW TIMES. WAYNE IS BLOWING UP A BIG BALLON ON STAGE. WHEN IT POPPED, OUT CAME CONFETTI.

THIS WAS THE PRETEND NEW YEARS. THE CONCERT WAS OVER AT 11:30 SO WE COULD GO OUTSIDE AND WATCH THE FIREWORKS.

DESPITE THE LOOK ON DRAVEN'S FACE IN ALL OF THESE PICTURES, HE HAD A BLAST! THE LAST PICTURE IS DRAVEN WALKING HOME AT 1 AM.

We had dinner with our friends Courtney, Tim, Marla and Damon. It was a small dinner group but loads of fun. I even had a glass of champagne! Yummy! The food was fantastic as always. After dinner, we parted separate ways. Marla and Damon went to Norman, The Meltons went home to be with their kids and we took Draven to his first concert. He was very excited. We watched Flaming Lip videos before we left and listened to a few songs. The show was already in progress when we got there. I think Draven was just in awe. All of the lights and people. It was incredible! After the show we headed home. We live close enough to downtown, that we thought it would be easier to walk then find a cab. We all agreed that the walk home was one of the highlights of the night. It was so hot at the concert and 20 degrees outside. We all needed some fresh air. I don't think we went to bed until 3 am or so. Now today Draven is at Papa's and Chris and I are hanging out at home. I have tons to do, but don't have the motivation. I guess I am blogging and paying bills today. That is something.

SAT NIGHT BELLY PIC...

Look at the big ol belly.

We worked on the house all day Saturday. We planned on getting baby furniture, but that didn't work out. Actually, it is going to work out better than expected. If we wait until Jan. 14th, we get a bigger discount. I think we can wait two more weeks. Now we are torn on what to get. We loved the black furniture, now we are thinking cream. Two weeks to decide. Chris got the light fixture hung in the baby's room. It looks incredible! We still have so much stuff to do before she gets here. We got all of our Christmas stuff put up and some baby stuff that she won't need for months. I think our nesting instincts are starting to kick in now that the holidays are over.
