Lillie was a good eater when she was little. When she was first born the doctors would only allow her to take 7 cc's (a cc is the equivalent of a syringe full) of milk. Her stomach was so tiny that was all she could handle. All she wanted to do was eat. Some of the nurses would even sneak her in an extra cc of milk. They all felt so sorry for her because you could tell she wanted to eat more. We would have to pry the bottle out of her mouth.
When she started baby food she tried everything. She really loved big people food. Her favorite was eggy bread. By one year old she was eating every noodle in sight. She has been on a noodle kick for the past year. The problem is she stopped eating vegetables. Thanks to advice from a pediatric nutritionalist I started mixing vegetable baby food in with her noodles. Thankfully that worked.
Just this week she decided she wanted to eat vegetables. We were eating dinner and she said "I want that". Finally we figured out she was pointing at the mixed vegetables. We let her pick out what she wanted out of the bowl and she dug out all the carrots. The next night she picked all of the whole okra out of the gumbo. I took her to Jason's Deli today and she was eating everything in sight. Hopefully we won't have to sneak the veggies in anymore. Maybe she is turing a corner.
I would love to have a good eater!

I probably take it for granted what a good eater Kate is. She definitely went days without eating but she has always eaten healthy foods! That's why i dont' stress too much on her having treats like chockie milk.
