8 months old... 1 more thing!

A couple of nights ago Me, Lilie, and Draven were in bed watching TV. Lillie kept grabbing Draven's face and saying "Bubba." Pretty sure this is her first word. We have all been working on that first word. I am trying to teach her "MaMa" and Chris is trying to teach her "DaDa" and Draven has been trying to teach her "Bubba." I will even try to get her to say "Mmmm, MaMa." And instead she says "Mmmm Bubba." Pretty sweet, she loves her Bubba.

8 months old...

Lillie is finally feeling better. She had a cold, bronchitis, and ended it with a stomach bug. There has been so many changes now that she is 8 months old. She can officially crawl, she got a tooth, she can get in to a sitting position and crawling position by herself. Auntie Lo got her to sleep through the night on Saturday. She slept for 11 hours straight! It has been a crazy month, but crazy good.
Friday we started getting ready for Lillie's baptism. Lillie and Draven went to Aunt Gum's for a little play time. Lillie ate her carrots and seemed to have her appetite back. When I put her to bed around 9pm she seemed snugly and didn't want to eat. Around 3am Saturday Lillie started throwing up non stop. We had rehearsal that morning at 9:30 am. When we got to church she seemed like she was completely better. Saturday we spent the day getting ready for her party. Lots of shopping and cleaning. Auntie helped out a lot! We cleaned while the boys watched football and drank beer. Sunday Lillie was doing fantastic. She had a great night sleep (that was the night Auntie put her to bed and she slept 11 hours!) She looked beautiful in her gown and did a fantastic job during church and the actually baptism. She just smiled and looked so pretty. After church we all went to our house for snacks and champagne. All was going well until Lillie developed diarrhea. Aunt Sis was holding her and Lillie had a nasty leaky diaper. That was just the beginning. Anything she ate or drank went right through her. Around 10pm, It was Chris' turn. He was so sick! I had Lillie and Chris in bed me. Luckily, this morning I feel great. I don't think I am going to get the bug. I hope not, Lillie and Chris are much better patients then I am.

Sick Baby...

Yup, sick again. Got to love daycare. Speaking of daycare... I quit my job! No more daycare for Lillie... She started off with a cold and ended up with Bronchitis. Poor thing. She has to use a nebulizer every 2-4 hours. She is such a good sport. She goes back to the doctor on Monday to see if she is getting better. Let's hope so...
Draven put Lillie in this funny hat. She was still smiling for the camera even though she felt bad. You can see in her eyes she doesn't feel will.

Draven wanted to make her feel better...

Weekend...

Catch up time again. Here are some pics of Lillie and Draven at the Oniplex. We went with Wendy and Spencer for "free day." I was really impressed with the museum. There is some really cool stuff there!

On Sunday we went to the park with Aunt Gum, Brooke, and Kate. Lillie was starting to get sick on Sunday. She fell asleep while she was swinging. That is usually her favorite. I had no idea she would end up as sick as she is today.

Lillie's green thumb...

Lillie had another big day. This morning she helped Daddy read the paper, then helped Mommy do laundry. After that we headed to church. She played at the nursery because she was a bit loud during the service. After church Lillie and I went to the lake to watch Brooke's soccer game and then go for a walk with Auntie Lo. She had a great time, but didn't get a good nap today. She snoozed a little during our walk. When we got home we started our chores. Brother was doing homework and Daddy was cooking dinner. Mommy and Daddy both worked in the yard. Lillie still hadn't had a decent nap and it was 6pm! We decided it was too late for a nap now, so we had to keep her busy. She enjoyed being outside today so I thought she could help me water the plants. I took her out to water my mother's day trees and she grabbed the hose. She wanted to do it. She got the biggest kick out of it. It kept her busy until it was late enough to start routine (bath, massage, jammies.) I wish I could of got some pictures, but we didn't get the camera until she was just about done. I did get a short video. Enjoy!

The State Fair, part 2...

Lillie is finally better. Yesterday was her first really good day. We were ready to get out of the house as a family and enjoy this beautiful weather (a bit hot, but still beautiful.)

Aunt Marla and I took Draven and Lillie to the fair last weekend, but Lillie started to run a fever and just didn't feel good. This time she was all smiles. Draven felt like he missed out on a bunch since we had to focus all of our attention on Lillie. This time we let Draven bring two friends. Last night Draven had his BF spend the night. This morning we went to Mesta Fest for an hour or so. It is not a big festival, more like a neighborhood get together. We usually run into some of Draven's classmates. As we were leaving we ran into Jordan. She went to elementary school with Draven and Landon, and now goes to Classen with them. She is such a wonderful girl. Pretty, smart, and talented. Anyway... Chris invited her to go to the fair with us. She seemed like she didn't mind spending the day with two boys.

We got to the fair and sent the kids on their way. They are finally old enough that they can do their own thing without the parents tagging along. We gave them each a little cash and they all had cell phones. They headed straight to the games and rides. Me, Chris and Lillie went back to see the animals. This time Lillie was so excited. I have to say her favorite was the chickens. She loved those chickens. She saw lots of animals, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, llamas, zebra, deer, emu, and her second favorite was the camel. She fed the camel and cracked up laughing when it licked her hand. Too sweet. We were there for a long time and she never got tired or fussy. She loved it all. She even wanted to eat my Poncho Dog. I shared a little. The kids were having so much fun that they called their parents to talk them into staying later. Chris and I were too tired. We agreed to take them out to pizza after the fair. We got to sit down and rest a bit. It turned out to be a wonderful Saturday. I just love seeing these kids get a long so well. Nothing better than seeing happy childhood memories being made. I think today that is exactly what happened.

Here we are at Mesta Mesta. Good food, beer, music, and of course a slide!

Lillie checking out the chickens. Little Hen checking out the Little Hens.

More chickens.

Baby chicks!

That horse is funny!

She loved the cows too!

This was here favorite cow. He didn't move.

Trying to get Mommy's Ponch Dog.

Check out this animal. It's a Lillie!

Before we left, I took the kids up the space needle. They said that was their favorite part of the fair... and it is free!

Lillie eating her dinner. She had the all you can eat baby food and crackers.

The kids had pizza and the claw machine.
