WEEKEND...

Another beautiful weekend. It always seems like when the weather is nice the weekends seem short. Friday we didn't do much at all. Chris & Lillie didn't get home until 8:30. They spent all day in Anadarko and Chickasha. When they got home we spent the evening on the porch drinking champagne and talking. After that Draven joined us for the episode of the office we missed do to the storm coverage. I feel asleep during the second episode they started.

Saturday Draven finally got out of the house. He has been so sick we didn't want him to relapse so we kept him home even though he was feeling better Friday. We went to one of our favorite antique stores and the book store. Auntie Lo picked me up for a pedicure while the boys and Lillie finished shopping at the book store. We had a great pedi and mani. It was more relaxing than usual. After that, Chris went to Al's while Lo and I hung out at my house. We had a few drinks and took Lillie for a walk. We also watched Walk Hard. Chris and I saw it some time back and I thought Lo would get a kick out of it. Chris came home fairly early (about 11pm) and we both crashed.

Today we have been working on the yard and dreaming about our backyard improvements we want to make. We have to cut everything down and start over. It is heartbreaking to cut down any trees we have, but necessary. Once we get it all cleared we will replant. All of the trees are in such bad shape and it the worst locations. We had three pines all growing in the power lines. The rest of the trees are on the fence line. We hope to get a fence up this summer. We say that every summer. After we did our work, we went for a walk to The Hill. It is one of our favorite spots in our neighborhood. Lo and I went there with Lillie last night. I wanted to go back today and take pictures of Lillie with the roses. She was in a pretty bad mood. She has just wanted to sleep all weekend. I hope she sleeps well tonight. Another week starting and another weekend gone. So sad. I am already ready for Friday again.
