Lillie has handled it pretty well, but when she gets hurt, upset, or sleepy she cries for Ne-Ne. Chris and I aren't doing as well. We are both very upset that an important part of our Little girl's childhood is gone forever. I told Chris I had BIG PLANS for Ne-Ne when Lillie got older. Perhaps a pillow for her ring on her wedding day. Maybe a patch in a quilt I make for her daughter. The possibilities were endless, until now...
I decided to pick up a cheap pink blanket last night to see if it would do the trick. She tossed it on the ground and didn't want it.
Chris and I decided today to come up with a Plan B. Here's what we did. We told Lillie that Ne-Ne went to the doctor to get some "work" done. We also told her that Ne-Ne would look brand new when we pick her up. So I went to Pottery Barn Kids today to pick up "New Ne-Ne". I hope this works. Otherwise that was $42 down the drain. My daughter has good taste. Here's some pics of Lillie and Ne-Ne.
*UPDATE* I gave Lillie "New Ne-Ne" and it was a flop. She just keeps tossing it aside. She knows. My kid's no fool. $42 down the drain. Unless I have a baby girl, then it can be her Ne-Ne!
