Today was the Chili Cook Off Fundraiser. Chris made his green chili. Not as good as our usual two alarm chili. He wanted to do something different. We were so excited to show Lillie off. Only a few people from church had met her. Chris tried out his new joke. Someone asked how old she was. Chris responded with "two hours." I ran into the lady he spoke with later in the evening. She said, "You don't look like you just gave birth." I knew that she must of spoke to Chris. I can't belive she belived it. He was also telling everyone that his chili was made with armadillo. No wonder he didn't win. They had a total of 30 chilies. I tried a spoonfull of all of them. My favorite was the chocolate chili made by the woman who thought I just gave birth.
We are now home and exhausted. I spent last night drinking champagne with Laura. I haven't drank like that in 10 months. It was nice. Luckily I have a great husband that took care of Lillie while I slept last night. I am still tired today and ready for bed at 8:30. Chris is laying in bed with Lillie now. Time for us all to go to bed. Lets hope for a good night.
Lillie ready for her big debut at church.
I wanted Chris to see how she just stares at him. She loves her Poppy.
