I don't even know where to begin. Lillie is starting to change every day. We have gotten used to having Lillie home and the lack of sleep. She sleeps for about two hours and then wakes up to eat. She has to eat a little at a time, but she eats often. She usually has 2-3 ounces every 2-3 hours. The more she eats the more she will sleep. For a while she was getting very fussy. She would cry when she would eat and cry after she ate. We thought something was wrong so we took her to see her doctor. She was diagnosed with colic. Not what a parent wants to hear. The doctor gave us a few ideas to help her out. We started her on gas medicine and changed my diet. I stopped drinking caffine and eating dairy. Very hard. She was still very fussy. My sister in law recommended trying Good Start formula. It is easy for little babies to digest. The doctor agreed to give it a shot. She loved it! No more fussy baby! Lillie had her second well baby check up Tuesday. Everything went well and she is gaining weight fast. She has officially doubled her size and is up to 6 pounds. She still looks small to outsiders but we think she is getting to be a little chunk. She is growing out of her premie clothes and is starting to wear her newborn clothes. She still has trouble regulating her body tempature. Most 6 pound babies wouldn't have this problem, but she just doesn't have enough fat on her body to insulate. Her doctor thinks she will be able to regulate at about 7 pounds. Until then we still wear hats every day.
I have so many photos to share and don't know how or where to start. So it looks like I will do one big blog to catch up.
These pics were taking on Febraury 17th, our anniversary. We almost forgot it! Once we realized it we decided to cook a nice meal and celebrate.
We had steak and lobster for dinner. I decorated the table with framed antique valentines from our wedding. Here's Auntie Lo and Lillie before dinner.
We heard someone say at the hospital that there baby was small enough to fit in a shoe box. We had to see if ours was that small. Yep, she is.
Chris sister Nicole (Aka Aunt Sis) came over to see Lillie for the first time. Everyone has been so sick so they have kept there distance. Luckily, everyone is feeling much better and gets to see Lillie often.
Chris mother (aka nanny) came to help us when Lillie was fighting her colic.
Aunt Marla came to stay with us for a few days. She was a huge help and now has baby fever. Lets hope she moves home soon! This picture was taken on Lillie's first walk around the neighborhood.
We had our first family outing about two weeks ago. It had been over a month since all of us were able to get out of the house together. We met up with my sister and her family at the park. Lillie loved the sun!
Kate, Brooke, Draven and Lillie
Marla and Lillie with the blanket that she made.
Lillie's sleep sack and bonnet. Perfect to keep my little baby warm.
You can really see her cheeks filling out.
Sleeping in her crib. She still sleeps in our room at night, but during the day I will lay her in her crib so she can get used to her room.
Last weekend we went to Tulsa to visit Chris family. They loved her and she loved them. It was lots of fun. This picture is of Chris cousin Debbie and his great Aunt Bob.
Lillie in her cute bonnet.
Tuesday I took Chris to work so he could show off Lillie.
All of the girls at the court house couldn't get enough of her.
