IT'S STILL A GIRL!!!

We went for our 4d ultrasound today. Wasn't as great as I hoped it would be. It was reassuring to see her doing well and still no complications. I guess I will have to wait another 2 1/2 months before I get a real good look at her. Oh, and for any skeptics out there.... The doctor said that she is with out a doubt... a girl!

Thursday night belly pic and another sweet story about my husband...

Last night Chris called on his way home from work. We were trying to figure out dinner plans. Draven was going to be gone for most of the night. He went with Nanna, Aunt Jenn, and his cousins to see a living nativity scene. Chris was stopping at the grocery store on the way home and called to ask if I had any special pregnancy requests. I said I needed something to fix my sweet tooth. When he got home he tossed a few pieces of candy on the table. I knew better and asked where the real goodies were. Well, I was right! He had a sack full of maple nut goodies, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, ice cream, heath bar, take 5, pecan pie, key lime pie, moon pies and lots of others. I had the key lime pie last night and am now onto the maple nut goodies. Yummy! My husband knows how to take care of his pregnant wife and keep her happy!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BELLY PIC...

Little Preston Anne wasn't moving much when I went to bed. I started to count kicks and she didn't kick one time. I was a little concerned. I took my bath this morning and drank a cup of coffee. That got her going, so need for alarm. Oh, and tomorrow is my 4/d ultra sound! I can't wait!!!!! I will post the pics when I get them.

BABY SITTING KATE.

Last night Draven and I baby sat Kate. She is so much fun! We fed here and then just played. She loves her Aunt Bootsy and Cousin Draven.
Oh, and she loves her dog Gordy too!

If millions of pregnant women in Japan do it...

Why can't I???
This sushi craving had to be taken care of PRONTO. I went and had an early lunch at Sushi Neko's at 11 am. I broke down and had a few pieces I shouldn't have. The main concern for pregnant women is bacteria and mercury content. I guarantee this is the freshest sushi you can get in OKC and I didn't have enough to worry about the mercury. I had mostly california rolls, some tuna, salmon and eel. For dessert I even splurged and had green tea ice cream. It was so goood! Preston started jumping around as I ate. I think she liked it too. I wonder what tomorrow's craving will be????

My lunch plate after eating a few pieces.

MONDAY NIGHT BELLY PIC AND PET PIC...

Wasn't feeling great last night. I skipped dinner and attempted to go to bed early. I couldn't sleep and then was up all night. I did manage to get my belly pic done. I had an awful stomach ache last night. I laid in bed and watch Anthony Bourdain and he was in Japan. Now all I can think about is sushi. Not a great combo when you feel sick and your pregnant. If I am up for it later, I have a game plan. I can eat ell, cali rolls and miso soup. All are safe during my pregnancy and should fix my craving. Maybe it will pass.
I also came across a rare moment in our house. Our pets love us, but only tolerate each other. They both climbed on top of Chris while he watched tv. Pretty cute.

PRESTON'S NEW CLOTHES...

Chris and I bought a few things this weekend for the baby. Nicole and Bill also did a little shopping. I figured I should post some of the highlights.

HERE'S A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE BOUGHT FOR PRESTON THIS WEEKEND.

I AM LOVING ALL THE GIRL STUFF. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, I AM NOT GIRLY... BUT I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE A LITTLE GIRL TO DRESS UP. THIS IS A PIC OF AN ADORABLE HAT AND MARY JANE SHOE SOCKS FROM NICOLE AND BILL.

SUNDAY NIGHT BELLY PICTURE

Look at my new prego jeans. They are levi maternity, who knew?

So sad! Last day of my long weekend. We have enjoyed every minute of it. It is 6:30 and we all have our pj's on and getting ready to sit down and watch a little tv. It is chilly outside and we are all snuggly in here. Nothing too exciting today. Draven and I went and bought new socks and underwear. That was the highlight of the day. I have been wanting to toss out all of my old socks and undies and start over. i have a fear of going into labor and being in ratty socks and undies. How embarrassing. I have also switched to only cotton for the pregnancy. I read somewhere that is what you are supposed to wear to prevent infections. Ok, TMI! sorry. I also got Draven the last pair of footsie pj's he will ever wear. I can't believe i found some his size. That is it for today. Back to work tomorrow. Urgh.
I had to sneak a picture of Draven in his jammies. He loves them, but is embarrassed that he wears them. He wore his old pair Friday night when his friends were here. Sometimes being warm is better than being "cool."

Chris doesn't think I devote enough blog time about our pets. We love when it gets cold because the cats want to snuggle. So here is my pet picture of the night.

SATURDAY BELLY PIC AND THE REST OF MY WEEKEND...

Notice my lovely outfit? My back was hurting so bad Saturday and it was cold. I broke into Chris drawers and wore his sweats. Not a great look, but really comfortable!
I didn't take any pictures of the rest of my weekend. Draven's friends came over early Friday morning. They played video games most of the day then went out to go bowling. Chris and I decided to go shopping for baby stuff while Draven was out. We went to what we call "the expensive baby crap store." It is actually so what reasonable and they had some cute stuff. We saw a few chandeliers we liked and a pair of shoes with bunnies on them. Oh! I did find a chair I loved! It all depends on what we do with Preston's room. That is still being discussed. We hit a few other stores that we never go in to. We even found a kid boutique store for baby Kate and Brooke. After shopping we went to rent a movie and get stuff for taco night. Nothing is better after Thanksgiving then movies and mexican food. We headed home and Draven and his two buddies met us here. We all ate tons of food and attempted to watch Evan Almighty. The boys ended up spending the rest of the evening in front of the x box. Chris and I went to bed early. The next morning, Chris prepared homemade biscuits and gravy for the boys. Draven had some work to do, so we sent the boys home. They live behind us, so the just hope the fence to get home. Saturday we did a little shopping. I got some new clothes and Draven bought a toy with his allowance. Once we were home it was time for football. We watched the ou osu game together. Rusty came over for the Mizzou vs. Kansas game. I actually stayed up and watched it all. The boys stayed up late planning a caroling project. They kept Draven up until late discussing their plan of action. By the time I went to bed, I was pretty annoyed. I did find time to take my belly shot. I have been up too late or too busy to take one lately. Today is the last day of our holiday break. It has been so wonderful!!! I am glad that we just stayed home most of the time. We are supposed to get snow today. Maybe I will bring out some Christmas decorations. If I do, I will take some photos!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving...

We got to my sister's by 2 ish. I couldn't help myself, so I snacked on everything that was waiting to go out to the table. It was all so yummy! Jay's turkey was fantastic, he tried to ruin Thanksgiving and failed. The Lacy house looked beautiful and festive. It was one of the most relaxed and drama-free holidays in our family history. We didn't do any of our new traditions because we were all too busy talking and catching up with each other. It is very rare that the 3 siblings (me, my bother and sister) get together without our parents. I think that the spouses even enjoyed the conversations. My husband seemed to have a great time. The kids loved playing together. Draven is the oldest and the only boy and has 4 girl cousins. He seemed to be just fine playing xbox and goofing off with the girls. We ended up staying until 11pm or later. I don't even stay up that late at my own house. Maybe our new tradition can be "no drama" for thanksgiving. I would love to do it again next year.

Holiday family night...

What a great evening! Chris and I got off work early so we could get some holiday stuff done. Draven started his Thanksgiving break so he was already home. I got home around 1 pm. Draven and I started to shell the pecans he got from our backyard. It really got me in the spirit. We put on some Christmas music and worked on the nuts till Chris got home around 2pm. Once he was home we headed out to do some baby shopping and last minute grocery shopping. Got our little girl some cute clothes, all with a bunny theme. Go figure. After shopping, we went out for indian food. Oh my! It was fantastic! We all ate so much. When we got home we worked on our pecans while Chris and the pets watched. It took a long time to get a cup of pecans, but it was fun spending time with my family. We put our pj's on, started a fire and just relaxed. Draven and I made the best batch of cookies for dinner tomorrow. Now that our baking is done for the evening we are enjoying some peppermint tea and Draven is having egg nog. I have a feeling that we will all go to bed early with this cold weather. Here in a minute we are all going to sit down for a little tv. That means I will be asleep before long.

TUESDAY NIGHT BELLY PICTURE

Almost Turkey Day!!! I am so excited to be pregnant and hungry on Thanksgiving. I just want to eat everything and it all sounds so good! We are trying out some new traditions this year. Hopefully, they will stick and we will keep them going for "new baby." Draven is trying out some new traditions of his own. He is our baker! He is making cherry pie and homemade choc chip cookies with pecans from our backyard. We are eating around 3pm then doing some kid Christmas crafts and ended the evening with hot chocolate and a Christmas movie. Jenn is searching for Miracle on 34th Street. I don't know if any of us have actual seen that whole movie. Family drama still exists, but I won't dwell on that. I have been drinking tension tamer tea to calm my nerves. Seriously, it works! I find myself getting stressed and depressed, then my stomach starts to cramp up. Not want you want to be feeling when you are 28 weeks pregnant.
Only 24 hours till the holiday festivities begin. I am hoping the holidays will speed up these last few months of pregnancy.

MONDAY NIGHT BELLY PIC AND RANT...

Let me just get this off my chest. I have learned that if you want something out in the open, put it on your blog. So here goes..
The holidays are here and my family is a mess. When will this all end? My mother left my father 2 years ago and none of us have recovered. Yes, my mother can "follow her heart" and do what is right for her. My mother is happy, at least I think she is some of the time, but the rest of us are left picking up the pieces. My father, from what I can tell will never recover from all of this. The children are left to figure out how to "fix" everything. Well, we have done our damnedest and I think we can say in a unified voice, "we quit." That's right Mom and Dad, we can no longer take on your frustrations with each other. We now have our own children to worry about. With the holidays here, it is heartbreaking for me to explain to my son why his grandfather won't be joining us for Thanksgiving. We have lost our parents, now our children have lost their grandparents. Just to get it out in the open, I am sick of it. We all are. I am done, I am not going to cry about it, lay in bed and worry or try to solve the problem. I have done all I can. I have a new child on the way that can hopefully be born into a drama-free family. On that note....
Here's my Monday photo.

Weekend...

Friday we went to the centennial festivities. They were just ok, but getting out was nice. The weather was great and Kate and Draven seemed to enjoy it. The rest of the crowd seemed a little cranky. Saturday we spent the day Christmas shopping and baby sitting Kate. Draven had a masquerade ball Saturday night so we shopped for the perfect mask.
Note to Aunt Jenn*** Kate loves the party store!!!!
Sunday we worked our butts off and cleaned house. Pretty darn good weekend! Here are a few pictures to sum it all up.
Walking around, checking things out.

Kate loved her 3d glasses.
