DAY FOUR, AUSTIN...

Ugh, I am so irritated. I feel like my home does fall a part when I am gone. Lillie won't eat for Chris, Draven missed the bus, Chris is all stressed out and cranky. If anyone tells me I should do this again, there is no way. I am so mad at Draven. He has to learn to be responsible. This weekend is the weekend we celebrate in his honor. I don't even feel like it. If we don't go, then I miss out celebrating the birth of my son. I want this to be fun. I don't want to go home and have the responsibility talk.
On a lighter note...
Here's my Austin summary. Yesterday, worked hard. Left, ate mexican food. Got back to hotel early. Fell asleep by 9:30.
We leave today. I just have to figure out how to get everything done and packed in time for our flight. I brought some lounge clothes and sneakers. I might just change after the show is over today at 1:30pm.
So tired.
Monte was so mad about the restaurant we picked. It was a $40 cab ride. and... It was not in a "party" part of town.

My dinner was yummy!
John liked his food.
Monte was happy once he saw his food.

AUSTIN, DAY THREE...

Yesterday, ugh. I can't believe we made it. We were swarmed by Realtors. They love us! We took a HUGE order from a big shot realtor that paid for our trip. After working from 7am-7pm we decided to go celebrate. The boss took us out to Ruth's Chris. I had never been there. Supposedly they have the best steaks. I have to say I agree. They are served on a 500 degree plate and come out sizzling. It was delicious! We had a nice bottle of wine, fillets, potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach and creme brulee for dessert. We planned on going back to the hotel to work after dinner. We were so tired, just couldn't do it. I got back to my room around 10:30 and was asleep by 11.
We just have one more full 7-7 day left. Tomorrow is a half day and I will be home at about 11pm. I am so glad I am taking Thursday off.

AUSTIN, DAY TWO...

Yesterday was much better. We started the show around 3 and ended at 7pm. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon setting up. Once the show was over we headed out for dinner. The restaurant we were going to was closed so we ended up wandering around Austin. We stopped in for a beer then off for a mediocre dinner. I made it back to my room by 10pm. It was nice to just lay around in my jammies and talk with Chris. After about an hour a tv, I went to bed. I actually had a great nights sleep.

Waiting on our cab after our dinner at Opal Devine's. Not good.

John the "camera man."
Drinks at Mother Edna's Pub. (not sure if that is the right name.) I was hoping for some Beemish. No luck.
Cheers! I did get a Guinness.
Monte showing us his bar tricks.
The trick was to get the coaster to land on John's shoulder. Damn, he is good.

Day one, Austin Texas...

I started the whole trip off on the wrong foot. Chris picked me up 10 minutes late so of course, I had to get really cranky. Once he dropped me off I realized I forgot my cell phone. That is the one thing I had to have. After I was already through security I had to call him and tell him to turn around and drop it off. I had 10 minutes for him to get there, drop it off, get back through security and still make my plane. I made it, barely! I was the last one on the plane. The flight was fine, but I got had awful motion sickness. I was so glad to get to the hotel. Of course, my room wasn't ready. I dropped my stuff off in the boys room and started working. We headed to the booth to figure out a game plan. What we thought was going to be a two hour set up has turned into two days. We just finished. While setting up yesterday we realized we were missing a few things. John and I headed to Wal-Mart to do some last minute show shopping. Monte stayed behind and danced the night away with the "Luxury" realtors. John and I finished our shopping and decided we needed a treat. We went to a late dinner at Flemings. I had the best filet, asparagus, and blue cheese mashed potatoes. John had the surf and turf. It was a fantastic meal. After dinner I finally headed to my room. I didn't get into my room until midnight. Once I was in bed I couldn't sleep. I woke up every 15 minutes. I maybe got 4 hours. We had to be up early this morning for the closing of the "Luxury" event. Now we are back to the big show and just finished setting up our booth. It looks great! It is amazing how things work out even when you are not prepared.

Dinner at Flemings...

Dessert at Flemings... Finally, my room...
The booth is done... We are going to lunch and starting the show at 3pm today!

leaving on a jet plane...

But, I do know when I'll be back again...
I leave today for Austin. Every year Keller Williams Realty has their big Mega Camp event. I went last year when I was 14 weeks pregnant with Lillie. This year Lillie has to stay home with Daddy and Brother. It is going to be a tough 5 days. I plan on posting pics while I am gone. I will do my best to stay connected to my family. I am sure they will do just fine without me, lets hope I am fine without them. The toughest part of the trip will be missing Draven's 13th birthday. His Birthday is Monday, I don't get back til Wednesday. He is spending today with friends, tomorrow with his Nanna, and Monday with his God Parents. Everyone try to remember to wish Draven a Happy Birthday on Monday. Call me and I will give you his cell number. Chris is making Draven a surprise breakfast Monday before school. That should start his day off right. Then I have a few things I left here for him too. Next weekend the whole family is going to Dallas for the weekend. We are going to Medeival Times, Antique shopping (one of Draven's favorite activities) going to the modern art museum in Fort Worth. Who Knows what else we will do! We have 3 days to cram in as much fun as possible. Well, I need to get dressed and ready to leave. Lillie is so sweet this morning....

6 month pictures...

Auntie Lo and I took Lillie for her 6 month pictures on Saturday. It was so hard to decide which ones to get. I can order more online, but I need help. Tell me your favorites!
