WATONGA...

If you are from Oklahoma, when you here Watonga you automatically think of cheese. That is why Draven and I decided it would be fun to take a road trip with Papa to Watonga to go his brother's 80th birthday. We got there early so we could go to Roman Nose State park to eat. I actually thought it might good. I ordered the serloin, salad, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. They forgot my salad, my serloin was burnt, black and crisp. The mashed potatoes were hard and dry. You could actually break up pieces of them. YUCK! I had to tell the waitress I could eat the food. She had to just take it away. I ate a little of the salad (that she brought out after my meal.) They offered to get me something else, but I told them I wouldn't eat anything out of that kitchen. They didn't charge us for my meal. After that we were going to Watonga Cheese Factory. It was closed due to a storm a year ago! I was so dissappointed. We decided to go antique shopping, nope all of them were closed on Saturday. We found one that was open but they decided to close down early at 1:30pm. We went on to the party. They held it in the most depressing place. It was this concrete building in the middle of this ghetto park. It didn't have windows, just a metal door and florecent lighting inside. It was awful. I thought I would see all of these long lost realatives that would be glad to see me. Instead it was a bunch of people that could careless that I was there. Oh well. I got to spend time with my dad. Other than that, it was a waist of a Saturday.

When we got home Draven we over to a friends for a sleepover. Chris, Lillie and me went to the neighborhood music fest. That was fun.

Date night with Lillie Marie...

Friday night we decided to go out. We ended up at Red Rock on the lake. They had an hour wait so we walked around the lake and had a few beers. That place is such a meat market, but the food is fantastic! I had the meatloaf and Chris had the cluck and moo. Both were awesome, but the best thing on the menu is their Key Lime Pie. Chris got that to go for me because Lillie was ready for bed.
Lillie asleep by the lake.
If you can tell in the picture, she is wearing the most beautiful dress. When I came home from work there was three dresses in a gift bag. We have no idea who they are from, but we love them. So, if it is someone who reads this blog, THANK YOU!

How cute are they? I get the best pictures of Chris and Lille. I never get any good ones of me and the girl.

She loves being with her Mommy, but Chris doesn't know how to get her to smile and take a picture.

I had a great idea that we would walk after dinner and do routine by the lake. We were going to get her in her jammies and feed her. She didn't not like the idea.

Last week at a glance...

Lillie had her 4 month check up on Tuesday. Everything was great. She was 23 inches and 12 pounds. She had four shots and was cranky for about 3 days. She is feeling just fine now. She also had Sooner Start. They said she charts at the 20th percentile. This is her first time on the charts. Way to go Lillie Marie! This picture is right after her shots at the docs office.

Now on to Father's day. Chris has been a father for 8 years now, but this father's day was his first with Lillie. He was ready to milk it. He gave me cash and a list and told me to make it a great father's day. We started off with a cookout on his new Father's Day grill on Saturday. THere is a long story behind the grill that I won't get into, but it was a pain to get that grill. We had my family over for dinner. The kids played in the water, even Lillie. She loved her froggy pool. On Sunday, Chris had breakfast in bed, then we went to church, then to Draven's first tennis lesson. His instructor said he is a natural! After that we went to the art auction, then antique shopping. We went and bought some movies to watch, went to the grocery store for more grilling, went swimming at the neighbors house, then had a fantastic meal. I think Chris had the best Father's day ever. Lillie got him a coffee cup with her footprint on it and a picture of the two of them. Draven got him Julie Child's dvds and I got him a new wedding ring since I lost the last one. I don't know how we can top next year.

Swimming...

I have all of these great pictures to post, but my computer will only upload the ones from today. I will try the rest later. I have lots of things to blog about. Lillie had her 4 month checkup, Sooner Start, Father's day, Draven's first tennis lesson, Lillie's first time swimming. Ugh. I will give my update when I can get the rest of the pictures up. For now, you get me and Lillie swimming. She loved it. Chris couldn't get any pictures of her smiling. She would only smile when she was looking at me. If she couldn't see me she was a bit nervous.

Weekend update...

I'll start my weekend update with Thursday. We ended up eating at Lido's for dinner. So delicious! If you live her and don't eat there, start going. Before we left Chris decided to stake the trees so they wouldn't blow over in this awful wind. The wind has been crazy for the past week. When we got home from dinner one of my Sycamores snapped in half. Poor little tree.

The other one is fine and we got the broken one replaced today. TLC replaced it for free. TLC... another great local business. Friday we went shopping after work. We hit a few antique stores then went to an art opening at JRB. We saw a lot of people we knew at the show and had a lot of strangers stop and comment on our beautiful baby. When we got home we watched Cloverfield. That movie sucks. Saturday we had a few friends stop by that we haven't seen in a long time. Neither of them had met Lillie. It is always exciting for Lillie to met our friends for the first time. Nanna stopped by that afternoon and got in a little Lillie time. Lillie was a little fussy and sleepy. We took Lillie to George's Happy Hog for the first time this weekend.

After that we headed out to do some more shopping.

We went to the Rink, Tuesday Morning, and Sams. It was nice to be able to shop and not be in a hurry. We just shopped all weekend and didn't buy much. We just enjoyed being out with our sweet baby. Sunday we took a nap, read the paper, drank coffee, and had another relaxing morning.

After that we went to Dad's and saw my long lost child, Draven. He was not ready to come home. Dad and Chris went to get my replacement tree while I hung out with the kids at Papa's house. The Lacy's came by right before we left Papas.

Lillie had her routine when we got home and is wearing my favorite jammies. She was so tired.

It is about 9pm and I am ready for bed. I think Chris is snoring on the couch. I rented a movie, don't know if I will finish it. I don't have high expectations for it anyway. All weekend I wanted to see Semi-Pro but it is out at every RedBox in town.
I know for most of you with your exciting lives, this weekend sounded pretty boring. In my world, it was fantastic. Very relaxing. I am ready to take on another week.

CATCH UP...

It sucks when I haven't blogged in a long time. Instead of being fun, it becomes work. I always try to make these quick. Here's the summary of the past two weeks or however long it has been.
Last week was fine for the most part. I had a cold/allergy for most of the week/weekend. Lillie has had a stuffy nose forever now. She went to the doctor on Thursday. They said some babies take longer to grow out of that newborn stuffy nose phase. I missed work Friday because I was so sick. I slept from Thursday night to Saturday. That made it a short weekend.

This week Marla came to town. We hung out Monday night and drank Margaretta's. Tuesday we ran errands and shopped. Tuesday night was Aunt Sis's birthday. Wednesday we babysat Luc and Sophie. I also saw Marla and her mom for a brief moment and had a great pedicure with Lo. After work today I checked out a summer program for Draven. It is called Play at the Park. It is a supervised day camp at local parks during the summer. We went to a park close to my work and they have a spray ground. Looked like fun. We will go on Wednesday and sign up. Hope it works out. After that we went to pick up Lillie from daycare. Good thing we did. They had no power (again!) This happens often. We think we found the perfect daycare for Lillie, we just have to get on a dreaded list. We stopped by and saw Papa for a while and Draven decided he wanted to stay indefinitely. I left him there with just the clothes on his back. He should have a blast. He loves his papa. Now Lillie and I are at home waiting on daddy (I am trying to phase out Poppy.) I want to go eat Asian food of some kind. It is Lillie's favorite!
