Lake house....

We went to the Lake the day after Thanksgiving. The boys spent the weekend with Papa (that's why there are no pics of them) while Chris and I stayed at our shack on the water. We still don't have hot water but we have found someone to install a hot water heater! Next time we visit we will have hot water! Hopefully.

We took a bunch of furniture to the house. I felt like the Beverly Hillbillies so I decided to take a picture of "Granny" on top of the truck in her rocker.

There's a place down the street that has donuts. Lillie has to have chocolate donuts and chocolate milk when we stay at the lake house.
We have a place to sit! We also figured out where we are going to hang our pictures but haven't hung them yet.
Tucker loves going to the lake!!!!
So does Lillie... She was making Tucker dinner with leaves and acorns. Yum!
We spent part of our Saturday at the nature center across the street. Lillie loved it!
We watched the crappie get fed. They fed them dozens of minnows and it was a feeding frenzy!
She thought feeding the snakes frozen mice was gross.
The best part of going to the lake is throwing rocks in the water. She could do this all day...

We went on a nature walk and she climbed a tree.

And hung from a monkey vine...
Then we made a leaf pile for her to dive into...

The end... Till next time...

Makeover...

Marla came into town to spend Thanksgiving with her family. I was lucky enough to snag her for a day of shopping and eating. We went and hit a few thrift stores, the mall, furniture store, Gordmans, Cattlemens, and Stellas. A lot of food and shopping!
(By the way... Stella's seared scallop salad is to die for! Excellent service and food at both places!) I needed to check out make up at Bare Essentials so I could make my Christmas list. While I was shopping, Marla gave Lillie a makeover. Lillie was so excited to see herself in the mirror. When Marla lifted her up to see herself Lillie said "I look like a clown."
Marla replied "No, you look amazing!"
When we picked up Draven and Jorge from school they asked Lillie "What happened to you?"
Lillie replied "I look aaammaazziinnggg!"
What do you think? Clown or Amazing?

Feelin' Crafty...

So my sister started making crafts. I have to tell you that I think crafts are generally crap. Not my thing. I do like things other people make, just not my own crap (I mean crafts).
Then I came up with an idea...
There is this hat that Lillie has outgrown, but I still love. I looked at and decided I could make it. It was someone's craft. I wondered if I made one if I would like it as much or if I could even do it. Sure enough I tried and they turned out all right. Not great. But, ok.
I think they will get better the more I make.
I'm going to try and sell them at my niece's craft fair. If they don't sell...
Well then I will have tons of accessories for the Lil' Girls in my life!

21 weeks...

This is actually a 22 week picture. I couldn't find any good 21 week photos. If you search 21 week fetus (or even just fetus) you come across some disturbing pictures. That is why I went with this one. It was easy to find.
So, what's new?
I skipped my 20 week appointment. Just too much going on! And... these appointments are getting expensive without maternity coverage. We were supposed to get coverage a month or so ago and they just told us no. I made a phone call and they informed me that even though Chris' employer allows him to be on their policy BCBS doesn't allow a 1099 employee on group policies. Now we start over again. I have another appointment on the 1st and one on the 8th. My specialist appointments run about $600+ a visit. Yikes!
So on to baby stuff...
Lil' Dude (or BeBe) is really growing! I too have grown. Unlike with Lillie, there is no denying the fact I am pregnant. I heard someone at church say today...
"I didn't know Sarah was pregnant."
I guess it is noticeable and of course I love it! I would much rather hear people talking about me looking pregnant than hear...
"Sarah sure has been gaining a lot of weight!"
I am really starting to feel a LOT of movement. The other day I was in the tub and I saw her head (or butt) stick out. It was the first time I could actually SEE the movement. I never had that with Lillie. I've tried to get Chris to feel her move be he gets impatient. Soon she will start kicking him in bed while we spoon. Rowdy Lil' Dude.
As far as names go, I haven't made an official decision and Chris hasn't really thought of anything. I do have a name in mind, but I am going to keep names to myself until she is born. Everyone has an opinion and I don't care. As long as we like it, that's all that matters.
I have been eating more and getting a few cravings. I am trying to stick to a rule Chris taught me...
If you aren't hungry enough to eat an apple, your not hungry.
I am trying to stock up on apples.
We have stopped exercising again. I plan on starting back up this week if I can get my exercise buddy (Chris) going with me.
I have tried shopping. Just can't rationalize shopping for Lil' Dude when we have so many hand me downs.
I am really starting to feel pregnant. Here are just a few of the symptoms I am having...
Major lower back pain (especially if I wear or wore heels).
Reflux/heartburn/indigestion. I am trying to eat slower and not lay down until an hour after eating.
Clumsiness. I drop things. I knock things over. I trip. Supposedly that has to do with hormones and my body changing as it gets ready
Nesting. Yes, it's a bit soon. I think it might be more of a Christmas thing than a pregnancy thing.
I think that is about it for now. At least that is all I can think of (I guess I have baby brain too that I can add to my list of symptoms!)

Cookin' with Lillie...

Chris and Lillie decided to cook breakfast for the rest of the family. She loves to cook just like her daddy! (She just made me a bowlful of pretend chocolate ice cream while I typed this).
Please excuse the bedhead in all of these pictures. We woke up and started cooking.

I swear, Chris usually makes homemade biscuits. Please ignore the Pillsbury roll.
Scrambling the eggs. This takes lots of skill.
Chris is trying to show her how to use the whisk. She prefers her spoon.
Helping with the biscuits.
*just a side note... The sweatshirt I am wearing is from a Red Dog Saloon in Alaska, not the trashy strip club in Oklahoma City. I am NOT moonlighting as a pregnant stripper.*
Lillie is really working those eggs... How cute is that smile and that apron?

What you missed...

For those of you that blog or read blogs you might notice people don't like to blog when things are bad. Yes, blogging makes me feel better but if things aren't going well blogging makes me face those feelings head on. I would rather talk about the food I ate last night than the troubles in my life. With that being said, I don't mind blogging after the fact.
So here's what you missed. The good and the bad.

Jorge had his first Halloween! We tried on lots of masks before finding the right one.
He wanted to be the Joker but when we came back it was gone.
On Friday Chris and I decided to take Lillie swimming at the Earlywine YMCA. They have an awesome indoor pool. While we were swimming I missed 6 calls. Mostly from the fire department.
So on with the bad news....
One of our tenants was a hoarder/slob.

And he was a smoker that obviously doesn't know how to put out a cigarette. The adjuster, fire inspector, and contractor came out on Monday to access things. Our insurance adjuster said we have over $100,000 in damages. Yikes! Then he informed us that our insurance was cancelled. What? I must of misunderstood you. We have automatic withdraw for all 8 policies out of our checking account. Not possible. Well, come to find out. It was possible. 7 polices were set up. Number 8 (which happens to be the one in the photos) was not set up. They sent us a notice, but we just assumed it was one of the many statements they send to us each month saying "bill paid, keep for your records". Our cancellation notice was filed away with all the other paid policies. We explained the situation to Farmer's Insurance and they said they would review the situation. So for three days Chris and I freaked out. Ok, that's an understatement. On Wednesday I got a call from the mediator with Farmer's and he told me the boards decision. We have been reinstated. We are 100% covered for the loss. I think Chris is still in shock but I am feeling much better...

Now on to Halloween....
Here's Lillie and her BFF before they went trick or treating.
Cheese!
Jorge's mask!
Draven, Jorge, and Lillie...
Lillie got up the courage to go trick or treat without Mommy or Daddy holding her hand. What a brave lil' girl. Mesta Park is pretty scary at Halloween!
Look! She got candy!
Look who we ran into, It's Tinkerbell Kate!
On Monday we took Jorge to the Day of the Dead celebration at OCU. Draven's dad and godfather both had alters on display. This is a picture of Jose's alter (D's Dad).
Draven, Jose and Jorge...
Jorge, Draven and Bubba Mike (D's godfather).
And more good stuff....
Lil' Dude is really growing. I can tell she is going to be a big baby. And remember... I was right about Lillie being a Lil' Baby! This girl is already kicking so strong I can feel it outside my belly, not just inside anymore. I am only 19 weeks pregnant and she is starting to feel strong! Chris never felt a kick with Lillie and I only felt the occasional flutter. Look out for BeBe Henry. She is going to be a handful!
Check out that round belly! Yes, I do love being pregnant!
