NICU Grad Picnic & Friday Family Fun Night...

Ok, so I haven't posted in a long time again. What gives you ask? Lillie has been sick again. She started feeling bad about two weeks ago. Nothing serious, just her normal chest cold. We started her on the Nebulizer last week and she seems to be almost better. She has missed going out and seeing her friends at "Town" (gym daycare) & church daycare. Poor thing has been stuck at home with me.

Last Monday we decided to go to the NICU Grad Picnic. I really didn't want to miss it. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to bring a baby with a runny nose, especially around a bunch of little babies with weak lungs like hers. We got there and ate and Lillie seemed to be doing fine. I wouldn't let her touch any kids or get to close. Gymboree was there with their toys and games, she loved it all! I felt bad having her around all the kids and playing with the toys, but I couldn't resist. After about an hour of playing Lillie turned in to a pumpkin. She was done. She started crying and throwing a fit. We took her home and put her to bed.

Another week has passed and Lillie is doing so much better. Since we have spent most of the week home we decided the family was due an outing. In the past we would have Friday Family Fun Nights every week. The goal used to be to do it on a budget. Since we haven't done one in a while we decided to splurge. We wanted to eat Mexican food and we wanted a patio. After searching and brainstorming we came up with Iguana Grill. It is right next to Sara Sara Cupcakes. We go to Sara Sara all the time and say we have got to go to Iguana for dinner soon. Chris didn't get home till about 7pm and we had to go workout for an hour (especially if we were going to eat Mexican.) We got home from the gym than set outside and enjoyed a Margarita on the porch before dinner. The evening was just perfect already. We didn't get to Iguana until 9pm. I was afraid Lillie would have a melt down. We decided to get the family style dinner. It was a perfect choice. We had one of everything including the salsa bar. It was so much fun! We sat out on the patio and grazed for over an hour. Usually we have to hurry up and eat because Lillie gets cranky. Not this time. We all had so much fun together. It was exactly what we needed. When we got home Draven wanted to watch a movie. We agreed on AIRPLANE! which he hadn't seen before. It is a little dated, but the humor is timeless. I made it through about half the movie and went to sleep.

What a great beginning to a wonderful weekend!
