Bricktown with Spencer....

Lunch at Lee's.

Bricktown and babies...

Bricktown, boy and babies...

What could of been.... a ride down the canal...

Yes, Spencer was in a carseat. Wendie was putting her carseat back in her car and Draven held Spencer while she slept.
Lillie had fun with her friend.

I left my camera at my dad's house. Luckily I imported all of my pictures yesterday. Wendie and I took Lillie and Spencer out for the day. We started our day at Lee's Sandwiches. I have wanted to go there for some time now. It was awesome! I didn't get anything "Asian or European." But... I did have the best Turkey, Avocado, Swiss, and Bacon sandwich of all time! I mean it, it was seriously delicious! I will be back. After that we went and picked Draven up from school and headed to bricktown. We were hoping to go for a canal ride, but they were closed. We ended up going for a walk, taking some pictures, then ice cream. It was a lot colder than we expected, but great none the less....

Poppy Jacques Birthday...

Lillie kept her birthday hat on. She saw the other kids wearing one so I guess she thought it was cool. She hung out with the kids in the tv room like a big girl.

She loves the porch swing. She loves any swing!

Nanny made a delicious birthday cake.

Yesterday we went over to Nanny's for Poppy Jacques Birthday. We had picnic fare with champagne. It was so good! Lillie was fine for the first hour. Around her bedtime she started to get cranky so we cut the visit short.

Soulful Sunday...

Lillie in the garden at church.

Daddy and Lillie feeding the ducks after our open houses. The ducks were hungry, but we were too cold.

Sunday lunch at A Family Affair Soul Food Restaurant. Sooooo... Good!

Lillie loved all the food, but pickled okra is still her favorite.

What a wonderful weekend! After a great day on Saturday we had another great day Sunday. Draven was at my dad's so Chris and I took baby to church Sunday morning. After church we let baby sleep in the car while we looked for some open houses. Going to open houses is one of my favorite Sunday activities. We had an hour to kill before any opened up. We had just enough time to go try a soul food restaurant we read about. It is over in our "hood." Most people won't venture to this side of town, but we live here and love it! The restaurant is called A Family Affair and boy is it popular! The place was packed! The food was the best comfort food I have ever had. I filled my plate with fried chicken, mac and cheese, collards, green beans, corn, sweet taters, corn bread, and on and on an on. Makes my mouth water. Lillie and Chris loved it as much as I did. We will definitely be back, but next time on a week day. It was too crowded and hard to get a table. Luckily it was just the two of us and a baby. They crammed us in the corner next to the soda cooler. After lunch we hit our open houses, fed the ducks at the lake, then came home. Chris was off work today for Presidents day so we spent the day together. Another great day, but not blogworthy. I did find a lot of aprons to add to my collection/secret project. I will spare you the apron pictures. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and also Poppy Jacques birthday. We will be spending the evening with Chris' family. I will take some pictures and pretend we are having an anniversary celebration. After having such a great weekend, I don't even see a need to do anything special for our anniversary. It is like we have been celebrating for 3 days now. I am a very lucky lady!

Valentines Day!

We have had a wonderful Valentines Day weekend so far. It started off Friday with baby Hazel. She came over to play with Lillie while her Mommy and Daddy went to dinner. I would call her the cutest baby I have ever seen, but I might hurt Lillie's feelings. After they had dinner they joined us for a few glasses of wine. It was a great start to a great weekend. On Saturday we opened up our gifts, goofed around, then headed to see a movie. Draven babysat Lillie for about 3 hours. He did such a fantastic job. He fed her and got her down for a nap. That is hardest part of babysitting. Chris and I went to go see Slumdog Millionaire. I really can't think of any movie I have ever seen that is better. Best Picture for 2008 no doubt! Now I want to go see all the other movies up for best picture before Sunday. That might be tough, but I have to see them all and compare. After our movie we dropped Draven off at Papa's house and had a drink. Then we went to Nanny and Poppy's house. We had a few glasses of champagne with strawberries and chocolate. Nice! We had no intention of going out to eat, but decided to give it a whirl last minute. We went to Mr. Pho's for a bowl of soup. They weren't crowded at all. The food was great and baby was good. When we got home we finished off our episode of Upstairs Downstairs and fell asleep before Saturday Night Live. What a great Valentine's Day. Today I think we are going to prepare for Big Trash Day, another fantastic holiday!
